Introduction

The Applied Statistics major is developing a new horizon of information statistics through leading the 21st century information age by suggesting new statistics in the field of basic research, which is based on mathematical statistical theory. The major academic goals were also practically set. In addition to the theoretical statistics field, the field of information data analysis and the field of application computing have been greatly strengthened to nurture the human resources needed in the knowledge information society. 1: 1 remote lectures through electronic teaching materials, and team lectures with two or more professors together are used to streamline teaching methods as well as converge academic fields and apply systematic learning methods efficiently.

Specialization

The greatest strength of our department is that students are able to experience the effects of data analysis and analytical ability and use SAS, a powerful statistical software, to practice in order to develop the basic skills to be future experts. We also have ample infrastructure such as a state-of-the-art laboratory for various software applications. We provide statistical analysis infrastructures such as statistical laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, insurance statistics laboratories, financial statistics laboratories, and classrooms dedicated to the departments to maximize practical application practice in addition to statistical theories. Every year, each student receives a laptop and all students study theory and computer practice to maximize the productivity and efficiency of knowledge exchange.
