Anyone with or without religion can study religion. By studying religion, we can better understand ourselves, and enjoy the human culture that religion was at the root of and which is still the same. Since religion has an important impact on human life and culture, knowing religion is a reflection of life and a close feeling of culture. The Major of Religious Culture will help you learn about various religions and how to analyze the complex social and cultural phenomena of religion, so that you can think deeply about yourself, society, and humanity as a whole.
Specialization
Do you like traveling? Do you want to travel all over the world? Then open the door of the Major of Religious Culture. The Major of Religious Culture focuses on cultivating humanities to understand diverse human lives and cultures by learning about world and domestic religions and exploring religious cultures. After studying Korean religions, the curriculum is organized to allow students to experience cultural heritage with a long history and vivid religious sites through exploration and field study. We also study cultures and religions from all over the world, including China, Japan, India, Europe, and Latin America and explore during break. Students are confidently taught regarding how religion is related in various aspects such as society, culture, art, politics, economy, science, human rights, etc. They can study various humanities and social sciences together through a double major and minor/major. After studying Major of Religious Culture, students will be able to advance into various social areas based on their ability to recognize our society objectively.
