Symbol Mark

Our symbol mark is the most fundamental factor in representing Hanshin University’s image and is a foremost symbol of all internal and external visual communication. To maintain the trait of a leading university in globalization, the lettering in the symbol mark was composed in English and the basic ideals represented are humanity, transparency, and progressiveness. The silhouette of the people embodies a fundamentally endearing image, representing Hanshin University’s human-centric educational ideology. “The image of three people with open arms” illustrates everyone at Hanshin University with an open mindset accepting of all possibilities and the conjoined silhouettes of the three people are in fact a simplified cube, representing transparency, structural soundness, and progressive future planning. The symbol mark is an official emblem which instills internal and external impressions of Hanshin University, therefore requiring particular care when being replicated. When using a negative color version, the color scheme outlined below must be used and its replication must, as a rule, be from data stored on a CD or a photoengraving.

Regulations for Using the Symbol Mark

Hanshin University’s symbol mark is a simplification of a cube formed by the conjoining of three people with open arms and symbolizes transparency, structural soundness, and progressive future planning and therefore when it is being duplicated from sources other than photoengraving as used in producing large billboard signs, a grid system as outlined below must be utilized for an accurate depiction. In the process of replication, the circular logo, the laurel wreath, and the distance between each unit of the three conjoined silhouettes must be paid special attention and reproduced to exact details. The size must keep to the guidelines given to the bottom right and the use of color should refer to the color guidelines in A-3. As a core factor in all forms of communication, there is a need for a careful post-usage management and precise usage.
